“From the outset, my experience involved poor communication, missed messages, an unannounced visit, and a lack of consideration for my time. Ron told me he would arrive in the morning, so I told him I made myself available from 9:00 a.m. and waited until he eventually arrived at noon, without so much as an apology or explanation for the delay. I find this disregard for a customer's time far too common among contractors. Frankly, I was already prepared to cancel the job at that point. I have never understood how contractors can expect their own time to be valued and paid for while showing so little regard for the time of the people who hire them. I can understand this happening when dealing with a medical specialist, but from a handyman, I find it particularly difficult to accept. However, the final straw was paying Ron $1,400 in cash on October 15 and still having no receipt four days later, despite repeated requests. I found it inexplicable that collecting my money was straightforward, but providing proof of payment was not. This failure to provide a simple receipt destroyed my trust in the company, and I cancelled the project before any actual construction work began. In an effort to settle matters amicably, I offered to let the company retain $400 for the estimate, visits, and contract preparation, and requested the return of the remaining $1,000. Instead of simply resolving the matter, the company is now deciding how much of my money it intends to keep, potentially demanding more than the $400 I already offered, despite having performed no actual construction work at all. In my view, this is outrageous. First, I was left without proof of payment despite repeatedly requesting it. Now, following cancellation, I am still fighting to recover my money. It feels as though my money has been held hostage at both stages of this dispute. I spent approximately 40 years in the unionized construction trades, including supervisory work at major industrial facilities, where communication, accountability, and professionalism were fundamental expectations. My experience with this company fell far short of those standards. **I will remove this review once my money is returned and this matter is resolved. Until then, I stand by my account of what has happened and cannot recommend this company.**”

“Unfortunately, I can't leave a 5 star review like others. The initial communication was very good. Ben was responsive and sent a detailed estimate, and although it was higher than others, based on a referral and his professionalism, we decided to use them. However, the day of the job did not go great, with several issues. 1) I assumed Ben would be coming to do the job. When nobody showed up after 45 minutes past the scheduled start time, I found out someone else was supposed to do the work. He ended up being an hour late with no communication. 2) The worker seemed unaware of all of the work on the estimate. My wife had to describe it to him because he didn't read the whole estimate beforehand. 3) When my wife informed him that our TV needed a recessed electrical box to mount flat against the wall, he ignored her and tried a regular one first, only to find she was right and he had to do it all over again. She sent me the photo below. 4) My wife had to help him lift it above the mantel because another guy had left. She didn't mind, but he wouldn't give her any instructions on how to help him. 5) Even after she reminded him multiple times that we wanted the TV frame to be at least 1 inch above the mantel's quarter round, and he assured her he measured multiple times, it was actually left less than a 1/2 inch from it. At that point, my wife just wanted him to be done. Now, the ceiling fan was hung well, but that night, I texted Ben to let him know about the other things, including a photo of the TV being more than 1/2 inch off. He WAS very responsive and apologetic about what happened, which I appreciated. He assured me that things would change and they would get better. However, the website says "100% satisfaction guarantee on every job", which clearly was not the case, and he did not offer either any form of discount OR for someone to hang the TV like we requested. I don't know that I'd use their services again, as this was a frustrating experience. Hopefully yours is better.”
